New Addition - 2014 XJ SUpercharged
I bought a 2014 XJ Supercharged with 42,893 miles on it as I am going to retire and sell my 2006 XJR X350 with 173XXX miles on it. Several features I like, but a few on this car are not as useful as the X350. The X350 had a fold down storage space for sunglasses in the overhead console. This car does not. The 2006 had a CD changer in the boot, but that must have been an option in 2014. I am assuming that if it had one, it would also be in the trunk/boot? I miss the cubby on the lower left of the dash as well.
I really like the backup camera on the 2014.

Hope you got a good price?
Yes some odd stuff for sure! No fold down rear seats. No mute button for the stereo. You found out about the lack of a sunglasses holder.
Watch out for this one! The front park sensors do NOT activate until you turn them on using the overhead console button.
If you shift into reverse they do come on which is just plain weird! I dinged my front spoiler a bit because my old S Type did not require this and I did not know about the button.
At night the blue rings on the dash vents reflect in the side mirrors. The center console chrome reflects big time into your eyes. I drive with my hand and arm on the console to block that. We have had people vinyl wrap the console to stop the reflections.
No key for the trunk. Be aware you can open the trunk using a jumper at a plug behind the rear seat.
Has the water pump been changed? These are good cars with only a few things to watch out for and this forum can help you fix them.
Finally are you DIY? I find that's the ONLY way for me to own a Jaguar and I am on my second Jag.

I can load CDs into memory on this 2014 as well. It took me a while to figure it out, but I have loaded some. It takes me about 25 minutes to load each CD.

Thanks for the heads up about the parking sensors. The sensors were not going off at the distance they did on my 2006. I was disappointed to here that JAG did not correct the water pump problem. Is it the same as on the X308 with the impeller being plastic? I will have to order a spare and look at changing it. I was surprised to see the blade connection and post under the hood for using jumper cables. This car has the original Varta battery and the aux battery(?) is an Exide. Do you happen to have a photo of the plug behind the rear seat where a jumper can be used to open the trunk? I don't have a problem, but it would be good to know what to do.
The car was advertised at $29,415 at a Dallas used car dealer tied to AutoNation. By the time Tax, title, registration and "fees" were added in, total price was $32,155. I looked at a lot of ads I Houston and Dallas for 2010 - 2016 supercharged V8 XJs. All had 60K miles or higher. What attracted me to this car was less than 43K miles. So, I don't know if it was a good price or not. Most had dark interiors, which in south Louisiana is unpleasant. This car has a beige interior, which is easier to get in when it has been parked in the heat.
It has been overcast, so I have hot had the sun reflecting off the center console chrome yet, but will be expecting it now.

We have a sticky on the rear seat trunk release. So look at the top of the forum for the permanent threads.
It's labeled Getting into the trunk with the battery disconnected.
Water pump is a leaking problem. It's been revised about 7 times and the impeller does not cause problems. So far at 38K miles that's the only thing that has gone wrong on my 2014 XJR.
Look for stains and anti-freeze smell.
One last thing is the SC coupling will probably start knocking on engine shut down. Mine has a small clunk on shut down. This is not known to cause problems other than the noise but I did just see some metal on metal damage from one. So take a listen with the door open and radio off when you shut off the engine.
