Sc v-6
When I was searching for a replacement for my 2006 XJ, "V-6" wasn't even in the equation. Having owned many vehicles prior to the 2006 XJ, both luxury and pedestrian, I thought I'd died and went to luxury car heaven when got that XJ.
What a wonderful experience that 2006 turned out to be. And yet, there were many naysayers amongst my friends who warned of many heartaches for me in the years to come. Nary an issue ever occurred that made me unhappy with the purchase.
Now comes 2014 and the need for a replacement (the 2006 XJ was nearing 100,000 miles). As I began driving and testing the SC V-6s, I realized that I needed to come to a type of compromise, and that would mean finding the car that I would be happy with and still be within the budget parameters that I'd set.
Do you know what happened along the way? That SC V-6 certainly surprised me! The 8 speed transmission worked wonderfully, and the zero to 60 in under 6 secs. wasn't too bad, either. (I'll have to let the 155 mph top speed challenge to someone else.)
What did I give up? Certainly bragging rights to the 470 hp SC V-8 and to the 550 SC V-8 in the XJR. But, I really like this 2013 XJ with the SC V-6. I might even get a few less tickets as I meander down life's highway.

I live at The Point, part time and South Florida the rest of the time.
Since I tend to "look" at any Jag on the road, I'm sure I've spotted you a few times.

My wife and I both loved that color, Caviar! We couldn't find one, at the time. I'm in a 2013 XJ, very dark Indigo Blue. Plate LGJ - JAG.

My wife Joy and I first experienced a Metallic Caviar XJL at the 2010 Automobile Show in Charlotte and fell in love with it.
Having enjoyed boating and classic boats many years in NH before moving here, we plan on attending the 16th annual Charlotte Antique and Classic Boat Show around 1:00 PM this Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Trump National Golf Club.
Perhaps we will see you there,
Jack
