Performance Upgrades

Performance Upgrades
I have been looking into doing some upgrades to the V6 XJ and the only place I could find that has vehicle specific parts is a website called minagallery.com . I was wondering if there is another website, domestic or foreign, that sells performance parts for the X351. Also, is there a way I can tune the car myself or is there a reputable place in the U.S. that could tune the ECU for me? Thanks in advance guys. I'm new to this forum so sorry if I have asked a question that was already answered and I just haven't found it yet. Still filtering through all of the threads.

I'm not sure if you are able to search yet but from searching "Tune" there are a few threads on it.

BTW, "tune" these days usually means installing a new software on the ECU, which has been developed in advance. Usually referred to as a "chip", although that's also a misnomer as it's usually a download these days. Several companies doing this.
Anyone any experience of a good chip for the 3.0 Supercharged?

This was on the front page last year, over 600/600 from basically bolt-on mods and a tune.

I think everyone here has been pretty pleased with the Velocity AP tune. You could also check the XF forum. They have more people trying to make big power from the SCs, Rs, and R-Ss, and we have the same 5.0 they do.
Not sure about the 3.0s, but since they are supercharged as well, I would see no reason there wouldnt be tuning for them, especially from the Euro market.

Thank you but I was looking for something a little more personalized like tuning software that lets me do the changes. I found some that look promising but they are all from Europe. I will be calling some companies and asking some questions about their products to find what I am wanting. Once I decide on a product and play with it a little bit I'll give a review and information. All of these replies are really good, I appreciate it guys. Another note, I can't seem to find the correct supercharger pulley puller for our vehicle. I found a thread that someone mentioned in there that a member let them use theirs but the thread gave no information on what brand or type of puller they used. Anyone have any information on this?

You are not going to get a better safe tune for your V6 than one of theirs, they have done a heap of R&D on these tunes, and you could easily end up in a world of pain (such as a bricked ECU) by trying to make your own. They are also happy to tailor their tunes (within reason) to what you want.
As for the SC (upper) pulley, don't bother, it's already nearly as small as you can go and fitting a smaller one makes very little difference and is not worth the hassle of trying to get the OEM pulley off and a new one on. Much better and easier just to fit a larger crank/lower pulley and associated tune.
