Hello, new here to the forums. We have a '12 XJ and we've only put 15k miles on it since we purchased it new. Well, as much as I try to keep her pristine, I ran the front end into a pole in the garage as I was pulling in. Was trying to be so careful as always but I guess my eyes are slipping. ![Smile](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
All that is wrong is the front bumper cover. It needs to be replaced. The attach points tore. Don't want to run through insurance for something this small and with a 1k deductable, just doesn't make sense.
I can purchase a new cover for around 1k and then a few hundred to get it painted, or purchase a salvage one for a few hundred and have it sanded down and painted. My question is how hard is it to remove & replace the cover? It looks like it's not too complicated, but looks can be deceiving. Thoughts? Is this something one can do with normal tools and patience or is this soomething that should be left to the pros? Thanks for your advice.
