Default Radio sound issue

I have the standard radio in my 2011 xjl, it doesn't sound loud unless i turn it between 20 & 30 volume.
When I listen to a uploaded cd it sounds a lot louder and crisper.
anyone have the same issue

My sound increases suddenly which tells me that this is still related to the software matters that are being worked on. another one of those wierd things.

I also have the issue of the volume randomly increasing from time to time. It's as though the speed-sensitive volume sensor goes nuts and thinks the car is going faster than it is....and increases the volume (although the car is so quiet is is barely louder at 70 than at 30 anyway!)

Mine does the same thing--I didn't realize that there was a speed-sensative volume sensor. I wish there was a way to turn that off--I would prefer to be in constant control!

I'm not 100% sure about the speed sensitive volume, but the vast majority of cars have them (in my experience....which is limited to only a few cars!)

That's standard...CD recording quality and volume can vary wildly. As a general rule, a CD will be louder and crisper. I don't believe this car has speed sensitive volume control.

I get some volume changes while listening to an individual CD, so I don't know what's causing that.

I have noticed that is gets very loud for a split second when I shut down the car.

Is there a setting for the speed sensitive audio? Mine seems to have it turned on as it gets louder the faster you go. Personally its is not something I care for at all.

See the attached PDF for the locations for most of them.

There are 3 in each front door (6)
There are 2 in each rear door (10)
There are 4 on the parcel shelf (14)
There is 1 in the centre of the facia (15)

As to the rest - I count five coaxial speakers (facia, 2 in rear doors, 2 on parcel shelf) so I guess they count those twice.
