Google locksmiths in your area. Call them to see if they can provide you with a new replacement key and program it to work in your XJ together with your OEM key. They will need the Jaguar SDD software or a comparable device to program your keys. They will also have to cut the new emergency key blank to match the one in your OEM fob.
Make sure that they are experienced and have successfully done this before.

I bought 1 from Amazon and 2 from eBay and none worked. But they were not OEM ones. My problem seems to be that there is a "Network" connection error when programming the keys and the device that they use cannot make a solid connection. So I am replacing the AUX battery to see if that may help. I tried 1 locksmith 2 times and same issue, they wanted $140 fo program 2 keys which I thought was great. I took the car to my local import car mechanic and he had the same issue but was only going to charge me $25 per key! So I hope that replacing the AUX battery solves this Network issue because I cannot find any postings on that error....If anybody has an idea of what it might be yell please.......

I just uploaded the report from my OBDII to my site, there are some O2 sensors that I may have to replace also. https://kendreger.com/jag/2013-xj-report.html

Hey Ken a bit off topic but you mentioned O2 sensor replacement?
Don't know if you were aware but Jaguar has an extended 10 year warranty on the O2 sensors?
BUT it looks like your just outside the extended warranty period since you have a 2013 XJ?
I have attached the warranty letter in cased you don't have a copy.

I never did this on my XJ but on my XK, a SDD laptop will program the $50 clone key fob properly. You need all key fobs you want to program all together for the process, or it'll dis-associate the other ones. You can re-associate later if you want or find the missing key fob.
If you happened to lose the spare key, instead of begging JLR for the key code, or paying $$$ from dealer, you can buy spare lock cylinders on ebay for $25 that come with a key. Replacement is very easy, one T30 screwdriver. Again I haven't done this on XJ but I have on Range Rover and it looks like the part is the same for all JLR
No locksmiths in my area even wanted to touch Jaguar, so I had to figure this out all on my own.

Well, I caved yesterday and took the Jag to the dealer in North Austin. Ben the service guy asked what the problem was and I told him I could not get my non OEM keys programmed and now I had a loose body part under the driver side and into the wheel well that needed repair. Ben took the car and 3 hours later had made me 3 new keys from MY EBAY purchases and fixed the loose body part! Win and only for %523 out the door. Money well spent I think considering that 3 other places could NOT make a key.
If you are in need of service in Austin Texas I highly recommend the Land Rover dealer on 45, ask for Ben.
