Should I? Late Model XJR...

Truly impressive, Club!
Believe your next stop may be Bonneville; World's Fastest XJR
Seems vehicle weights are sort of a liars' contest. Worst offender is Ducati; their bike weights are beyond fanciful, in my limited experience
I replaced the SC coolant pump on my XJR with a Bosch also (old one was noisy); seems to help in hot traffic, etc
120 MPH quarter mile trap speed also says that you're making really substantial HP; compliments

Thanks Marco!
(I had seen this car, red over red, early on. The red upholstery was a bridge too far at the time, and I wanted a 2016+ model.
Now that I realize just how rare these cars are, it's back on the maybe list. No idea about market value, though $30k asking seems about right for the XJ SC counterpart.
Quite a few XJR's on market in Britain; v few in USA)

Yes, SWB XJR was offered for a very brief period. M.Y. 2016-2017 for what I know. I’m looking for one for myself, I’ve seen a British Racing Green 2016 for sale on CarMax a few month ago, some lucky guy bought it (VIN:SAJWA1EK7GMV97904). There’s also a few white 2016 press cars in Connecticut. You can see picture of one if you just google “2016 XJR”. White with bright package. There’s at least two of them in this spec registered in Connecticut. No SWB XJR575 for only LWB was offered in the US. XJR SWB are extremely rare in the states
Timing chain issue, yes that and coolant. Never owned a Jag before so I only heard about these from people in this forum. It’s always smart to replace them once you get the car.

This has been up for sale for a few months. If it was a LWB (which is what most people want) it would likely have sold by now and wouldn't be quite as bad of a price. With this mileage on LWB $40k would be about the max reasonable price as a 2014 I would say. SWB this is worth about $35k top.

Also overpriced. Saw this listed a while back then taken down for a bit I think and now they're trying to sell again. $40k is probably about what it should be priced.

Just stupidly overpriced with this mileage. Worth under $25k.
I don't know what the carfax say about these for number of owners and accidents etc.

the SWB was offered every year until the 575. There are 3 up for sale right now, all overpriced but not sure how you haven't seen them if you have been looking.

You mentioned an Audi S8 in your first post as an option. I think it uses the same engine as the Bentley V8,in which case it can be a nightmare. It can suffer from oil starvation leading to TC issues, and repair bills of £10k are not uncommon on this engine. I was warned to avoid this engine on the second-hand market (but new and still under warranty is fine).
