Sill / Rocker Plastic Cover - Removal

Sill / Rocker Plastic Cover - Removal
Has anyone here removed the plastic trim that sits over the sill / rocker panel, mines loose but I cannot get it to come free, I don't want to break stuff in the process.
One of my sill / rocker trims is not clipped in properly so I need to remove it to see why and on the other side I need to replace the wing / fender.
I believe the clips for these things are no longer available so breaking a load of them wouldn't be a first choice.

When I purchased my car in 2019, I had a local body shop refinish the rocker panels and front clip. I remember him being amused that most of the rocker panel clips and rivets broke upon removal. This "single-use" mentality among auto manufacturers is growing, it seems.
I pulled his invoice, and (for both L and R) he replaced two rivets at $1.45 each, and 16 "panel clips" at $9.55 each. His notes say, "Replace OEM", but no part numbers are listed. PM if you want me to pursue this further; I see him for lunch occasionally.

I am unable to find the clips anywhere, there are two numbers, one is C2D5807, this one is expensive and probably the $9.55 item, also flagged as unavailable from Jaguar so I'm stuck hunting in the aftermarket, the other is XR849718 this one is apparently available and of course won't be the ones that break the way my luck runs. The parts guide offers no indications how many of each are present I can find no trace of them in the workshop manual - not saying they're not there but I can't find them any place logical.
What I do have issue with here is that Jaguar can stop supplying a part that they deem to be a 'disposable' item for a car that hasn't been out of production that long, there should be legal requirements for them to keep spares available for at least 10 years after production ends.

That part number (C2D5807) comes up as a Rocker Molding Retainer Clip for $10.78 here in the U.S.
This dealership doesn't show it as unavailable that I can tell:
Search Results | Jaguar Annapolis Parts
The "ROCKER MOULDING RIVET" looks like part number C2C23969, for $1.54 (US) each; included in this parts break-down:
Exterior Trim - Pillars for 2010 Jaguar XJ | Jaguar Annapolis Parts
The illustration of the rocker appears to show 6 holes in the "MOUNT BRACKET" and four in the "ROCKER MOULDING FRONT BRACKET" for applicable clips, or a combination of them. There do look like a couple of other clips too.

It seems for some reason the passenger side right behind the front wheel are the ones that need replacing.
My body guy was able to replace just the one clip without pulling the entire molding off.

Most suppliers here show out of stock and 'call' which generally means a substitution or lack of availability. I have been waiting on a brake line now for 6 months ....
I managed to find those yellow clips via Amazon (I'm in UK) but they don't have a good review, I will let you know what my review is. For what it is worth the rocker cover in that link is 100% the problem mine is displaying and it is loose for sure. I'll wait on the clips before I tear the cover off.

XR849718: I have 6 pcs (white plastic retainers)
C2D5807: (yellow plastic retainers) I have the aftermarket equivalent, I have a box of 20 pcs. (Auveco is the brand).
Do you need these?
C2D20192: For some reason i have 9 of these retaining pins.
C2D20191: Retaining nut, I have 9
Send me a PM with your address, and I can calculate price that works for both of us.

So I have clips on the way, few other bits but I still cannot get these sill/rocker covers off these clips are tight suckers, I have them completely released underneath but even though one for sure has broken clips high up near the doors the covers aren't letting go. On one side the cover actually started to crack so I backed off, you can't even get a trim tool in there to release them - what a garbage mounting method - almost does render the sill/rocker covers themselves almost disposable..
