Software bugs
The only weakness in the XJ that I can find are the bugs and shortcomings of the software running all the technology inside the car. My list from reading posts here and from personal experience includes:
Occasional long delays in waiting for voice recognition system to start
Contacts don't transfer from my Blackberry
Touch screen poor responsiveness
Non-intuitive GPS system--too many submenus, etc
Voice system doesn't operate some commands...radio, etc
Poor use of functionality on steering wheel buttons
General lack of ability to customize
Difficult to navigate through radio presets, sat radio menu, etc
What did I miss?

I would agree with that the software could be a bit more "up to snuff". And seriously, how long do you test drive a car? I don't know anybody who would work out all the intricacies of any of these systems out during a simple test drive.
And during my test drive, half the stuff in the the demonstrator didn't work because they hadn't been fixed by Jaguar yet.
BUT...I bought a car which drives beautyfully, not a computer toy. So....I cut the car some slack as it came from a car company and not Microsoft or Apple. (And the alter wouldn't mean it would be any better anyway)
