Default Steering wheel removal for clock spring replacement

I have a 2011 5.0 supercharged, nothing on the steering wheel works, and abs light is on. I have a new clock spring i'd like to put on, what tools are needed to do this repair? Ive noticed 2 notches on the back of the steering wheel they seem like a flat head screwdriver maybe able to be inserter and twisted to remove the steering wheel, but that didnt work for me, maybe the wrong size flathead, I admit I havent made a real attempt until i get a little more info on it.

  1. Refer to:Startup Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

  2. NOTES:
    • An audible click can be heard when the airbag module has been released from each side of the steering wheel.
    • Gently pull on the side of the airbag module which has been released until it has been withdrawn sufficiently to clear the spring clip.

    Special Tool(s): JLR-501-168
  3. Remove the special tool.

  4. NOTES:
    • Gently pull on the side of the airbag module which has been released until it has been withdrawn sufficiently to clear the spring clip.
    • An audible click can be heard when the airbag module has been released from each side of the steering wheel.
