Here is the install

so far coming up great.. the idea was to build a 4th order and vent it directly into the factory opening, so the bass fires directly in the cabin instead of bouncing in the trunk.

I've contemplated something similar, I just don't want to chew up a lot of trunk space to do it. Please keep us updated. I'm interested in seeing how the 8's perform.

Uh2 - This doesn't take up a lot of space. The "dias" like structure that goes up in our trunk is pretty much useless unless you are shoving in specific size bags. We at eonly using that space , notice the tape where the limit is setup.

also for the 8". these are not your regular flimsy 8". These are sundown E series V5. See pictures .. these are pretty bad ***..

What you don't see is on the top of trunk the vents port the sound directly into the cabin. and i have not lost any trunk space..the raised portion basically was of no use to me anyways

That looks great. To vent the ports into the car what kind of modification was done to the rear deck? Do you actually see the ports? Thanks for posting this project.

I had removed the factory subs and tapped in the line since its fed off the equalizer already so I can still use the sub control in head unit. The opening was used as ports. Altho I'm thinking of asking Scott to make it fourth order since it booms a lot I would like some crisp bass too.

If youa re in Seattle area Scott can probably build more of these for very good price. Takes about two full days of work initially.

You have to take the rear seats and some trim out to remove the rear deck, then you have access to the subs.

I downloaded the service manual detailing how to get access to the speakers.

I have a different thread with pics on this. If you do a sub get an amp with plenty of flexibility with controls. Needs a lot of tuning to get a sweet spot.
