Suspension Fault
Driving the past few days I have been getting an intermittent amber "suspension fault" message. It came on full time now. I read the codes, and have "C1 A36-01 Exhaust Valve" and "C1 A27-12 Compressor circuit" errors.in the Air Suspension modules. I have not seen any listings anywhere to decode these codes. Though I have not not looked at it much, do these codes give any indication of components to start with?
Thanks,
Thanks,

There is a valve that allows the SCM module to release air to atmosphere. My own experience of this with the previous model was when I got back from a run, I would hear air exhausting from the compressor. This was a regular occurrence for blowing captured water back out from the water trap. Maybe this isn't working, but I'm only guessing.

After a bit of investigation, I find two plugs going to the air compressor. The larger of the two goes to the motor of the compressor unit, and is receiving 12 volts. Is it safe to assume that power should be running the motor, ie that the pump should be running when supplied voltage? If so, I can call my pump assembly failed.

The pump is only commanded to run when the car reaches 20ish mph. So, no, it is not safe to assume the pump is defective.

Added info: The pump is inhibited until 20 mph so that the noise of it running is masked by road noise. If the system is working correctly it will only run for a few seconds (2-3) and then shut off. Once the accumulator is recharged, it may not run again until the next morning.

Two suggestions:
1. The obvious one, check the fuses. They are listed in your manual and vary from year-to-year
2, Drive a couple of miles, stop (ignition off). Then open the trunk/boot and sit on the trunk ledge, after 15-45 secs you should feel the boot lift about 10-25mm. This is the auto height adjustment working.

Thanks for the input, wombat. Do you know what the other of the two plugs is? Just trying to figure out how to test the pump. My thought was that it was "commanded" to run by supplying voltage, not that it had constant current, and the second plug triggered some sort of internal relay to close. No signs of leaks anywhere, Car has been in "Air Suspension Fault" mode, so reasoned the system would still be powering the pump to "poll" if it is still fault. I appreciate your input.
