So, out of the blue, the latch on one of my seat trays broke right in the center, The latch fell off, tray popped open, leaving the center piece and screw still in the back of the seat. I elected to fix mine with some 2-part epoxy and it turned out great. However, now I can't get the screw back in the latch to reattach to the seat back. Does anyone know how that latch assembly comes apart? Open to all suggestions, except take it to a dealer!, I have seen in other posts and ebay where you can purchase new latch assemblies, but, even then, I don't see how the screw can get past the latch mechanism in the assembly to get to the hole.

Okay, in case anybody is wondering, or cares for that matter, I wound up grinding about 1/3 of the head of the screw off to fit through the latch mechanism.There was plenty of head left to hold the latch assembly firmly in place and all is well with the tray, again. Makes me wonder if I had ordered a new assembly, would it have come with the mounting screw already in place? Oh well, hope I never have to find out. Love my XJ-L!
