I'm bored. Home schooling sucks. Even the cats hate me being at home. It's been raining for 3 days.
So, looking at doing some preemtive work before I go stark raving mad!! Looking at the upper front control arms, they don't look bad at all (that's not the point). OEM arms run in the $300-500 range, after market parts are $50-170.
Has anyone had a good experience with after market arms. and if so. which brand?
These are all the upper control arms I ordered from Rockauto. The Delphi arms are fronts and Beck Arnleys are rear. I have only fitted the fronts so far and they are working well. I understand Lemforder are the OEM. You can get them all from Rock Auto. Check out the 2006 Lincoln LS as they use the same front upper control arms as the XJ. They list more compatible arms for that car.
So you can confirm that the X351 uses the same front upper control arms as the old X350, S-Type, and Lincoln LS?? I thought so but couldn't find confirmation.

They must be the same, as I bought the upper fronts from the 2006 Lincoln LS portion of Rockauto and they were a perfect fit. Look exactly the same as the original ones (except without the Jaguar label).
The upper control arms are very close. Even though I’ve never tried to interchange them. The biggest difference would be in the caster/camber side of the alignment. Let me know if anyone takes the time to come up with some actual proof of interchangeability.
After the Delphi arms posted above were installed I took it to an alignment shop. There were no alignment issues. At the time of my order, one of the arms (can’t remember which one) was cross-listed on Rockauto for both the XJ and the Lincoln.
Edit: The TC3548 part number lists C2D2475 as an OEM Alternate number. While TC3549 lists C2D2474, C2D36804 as alternate numbers.
Good to know but confusing as why there are 2 listings? Why the 2 casting numbers?
Because coming from a Lincoln LS they sure look the same. I replaced the front control arms on that car while I had my old S Type so I could put them side by side.

Just wanted to update this thread as well: the X351 does in fact use the same upper control arms are the X350, Stype, LS, Thunderbird. They are exactly the same.
