Hi Everyone!

I have a XJ, MY 2014, with the Meridian system - it plays USB very well and the sound quality of the system is satisfatory...

What annoys me however is, that when I search tracks on the USB - using the (A-Z Search) button located in the right top corner, it allows me only to enter one letter - than it gives the first result, which starts with that letter.

Example: I search and type P - it shows me the artists from P onwards.

Im my case, the USB has thousands of songs on it - and I can only search for the first letter of the artist - I cannot search for the song title at all..

Now there are of course 2 possibilities:

1. I'm stupid and do something wrong - maybe even too stupid to own this car
or
2. The designer of this system is

Please advise

 

I would just like to be able to search for a "song title" on the usb, using the search keyboard - do I need to use another format on the USB stick? Or is this just not possible?

In other cars, you can search for whatever you want:
- song title
- artist
- album

 

Have you tried asking your Jaguar dealer?

 

I'm not sure if my system with B&W speakers is the same other than the speakers but I do know that the user interface is terrible. I now rely on a Bluetooth link and do all my interaction with music choices on the phone - in my Cas an iPhone.
