No, call your dealer for PNs, otherwise they can be found here at an online parts finder like at Harper (they have the best online prices since Jag NV no longer sells ecommerce: https://parts.harperjaguar.com/oem-p...nated-c2d30460

For example, this is a 2015 illuminated trunk finisher. It says it won't fit my 2012, but it will. It is aluminum vs stainless steel and costs less. The scripts are different.

The fronts for all model years will be interchangeable. The rears are longer on the XJL, but between XJL model years they all fit the same.

It's straightforward:
1. Pry them up.
2. Fish around for the connector.
3. Clean up the spilt blood. (You'll understand after the 1st one)
4. Connect.
5. Snap back into place.

At risk of extending this conversation about sills well beyond its expiry , not sure about all the blood.

If you have a trim removal tool, it took me 3 minutes to do all 4. I didnt wear gloves and I didn't get cut.
They are all interference fit, just take care not to gouge the surrounding areas when you apply pressure.

dmchao,

I got cut because I wasn't being careful when I was fishing for the connector! The holes cut in the Al frame rails are razor sharp.

And new smart key case to change the old one with flapping rubber. Possibly its the smallest thing in this car, that you see the most.
Stayed with original style, without going to newer style key fob.

Sure, this is just a smart key fob (shell), found on ebay or aliexpress fot $40. Just search for "jaguar key fob shell" and there will be some options. You can get also get shell for model 2016 and later, which is only 5-10 bucks.
You just have to transfer your chip to this case and thats it. because its not additional copy or reprogramming - its just shell change. (If you want to transfer from 2010 style to 2016 style, then you will have to cut the shell a little (invisible from outside), because the chips one corner wont fit few milimeters. There should be a video on youtube for that.
This one is for 2010 to 2016

Vasara, thats also a good option, the glue has to be at least a little elastic, other wise it will peal off in few years. And the rubber has to be in fine condition.
But when it's deformed, or torn from flapping. Saw even one with buttons having holes in them. Also the chrome scratches with time. So for that price it seams easier just to change it.

Off topic - i like your name. Vasara in our lithuanian language means - summer.

Sure, no worth clueing if parts are faulty or bad condition.

Off topic - Thanks. (just an avatar, not my real name)
Baltic languages uses many same words, but the meaning can be different. Quess what Vasara means in Finnish? ... It is Hammer. Summer in Finnish are Kesä

Default Med blinkers

So I decided to upgrade my blinkers located in the mirrors. These new ones is sequential. The orange light start at the right and continues to the left, just like on the Audi e-tron.

I was a little in doubt how it would look, but I think it looks quite good.

pleas see my attached 3 second video.

Yes I added those strobe turn signals to my mirrors too. Simple and a bit of bling I guess!

Changed my oil in my XJ 3.0L AWD for the first time this weekend. Bit of an interesting one with the vacuum pump…Castrol Edge High Mileage 5W20 at 129k miles. Hoping for some more wins in the DIY garage. Got an adjustable oil filter wrench from harbor freight since I didn’t want to wait for a 90mm wrench. Worked great.

Not all doings are good. Caugth a road pit driving slow on a stone paved oldtown road and not suspecting anything bad, left the car in garage. After finding flat tyre after few days, understood, that wheel is damaged. Yellow marks the spot.
So the idea is - drive fast to save wheels flying over road pits.

Warning: driving faster may not help - this pot hole was hit at about 60mph:

Pretty good impact! Are going to repair or replace the rim? I have had surprisingly good results when getting them straightened. Maybe with all the rim damage being done the repair techniques have improved as well?
I have my first set of forged rims on my 2014 XJR. It has the Gray Farallon rims. These are the only rims I have ever had that I have not bent from pot holes. I have hit several large ones at speed that I was sure going to do damage but nothing yet!
