Surely it is and variety is the spice of life! The funny thing about taste is sometimes it changes, because today I decided to PC them in Tiger Drylac Mirror Silver lol

Flashed up my Stop/Start button
When i bought the car there was a crazy square hole hacked in the stop start button.
I priced a new replacement, and would have gone that way if there was one in-country - but plenty of $s.
Fortunately, there was enough left of the old button to be able to put a new sticky over the top of it - and I found @Jssaab and his buttons on the forums.
Very helpful, quick and easy post down to NZ and fitted today.
Very happy so far - we'll see how the adhesive stands up when the weather gets colder (30C/85F in the garage here this afternoon ).

I've had this one but was considering his for the light transparency

@Jssaab is right - when I try my phone flash/torch I can see the light come through the second button (2 supplied - 1 applied)
The old button has a 6mm hole in the middle - before I applied the new button I could see the LED directly. Maybe my LED is just weak.
for me - not a concern - only looked at it because of @EliteZags 's enquiry (the button is mostly obscured by the wheel in my usual driving position anyway).

Yeah. It’s a repair not a bling piece if you like the light coming through
note. I do NOT recommend breaking your button to add this. But if there is a hole you can use tweezers or needle nose pliers to break off enough for the light to come through but importantly leaving enough around to edges for the adhesive to stick to. (Like the picture) It is very sticky (but I have had batches that adhesive does not work great and am happy to replace if needed.

I replaced the battery on my '12 yesterday. Very easy, if you haven't just had back surgery!....
What a **** show afterwards!!!!
I reset the BPM with my ICarSoft, did the window resets etc.....The battery was fully charged before fitting.
For the first 20 miles it drove somewhere between a slug and a scolded rabbit. I guess it was going though the learning modes for the transmission.

Got my Farallon wheels back from the coaters! It's an exciting day.
If anyone has a source for the poly emblems, that would be helpful. I damaged mine getting them off and ready for coating. I may get them custom made at a Domed Tag supplier I know, but it's kind of cost prohibitive to get the OEM look ($100 for 4 stickers lol). Will be applying Kamikaze Wheel Coating tomorrow.

I have the exact same rims and when I had them re-powder coated I let the shop remove those 4 small bits. They got it done with no damage but I don't know how they did it?
What's the Kamikaze Wheel Coating? Sounds interesting?
I had mine done in metallic charcoal. Fairly close to the factory Farallon grey color.

Nice! Yeah, I tried myself but didn't have much luck. Kamikaze Stance 3.0 is the coating I'll be applying as I hate barrel brake dust after longterm use. I'm pretty all in on Kamikaze coatings, better priced than professional installation and the results have been phenomenal so far. Easy to apply and you don't need training, straightforward decontamination process and application process. I have Gyeon Rim on my other winter set and it works well enough, but reviews of the Kamikaze appear to be better.
I wanted to do different from OEM, and finally decided against black. I don't remember the name/code of mine but it's a Tiger Drylac formulation. I like their flat finishes better and my applicator is really good (albeit a little slower than most). Really high quality and debris free results and smooth clear. They even noticed a bend I missed and fixed one rear for me. I'm pumped to put them on, as I got the wheel/tire set from a scrapper and coated for less cost than 2 wheels from the factory.
