Default what tires are you using for XJ SC?

I have the 2011 XJ SC, and I've only got around 26k on mileage and is about to go thru two sets of tires on the rear, both Dunlops. Sure I don't drive like Ms Daisy around town but I'm not exactly sliding and drifting or doing launch control. Dealer asking for $1200 for a set of Dunlop mounted on the rear, so I was looking on tirerack.com and seeing what they have available. Just wondering whatelse are the other owners using on their wheel, or did everyone stick with either the Dunlop or the Continentals???

I replaced my tires last month and went with Bridgestone S04 Pole positions

It looks like these are on sale now too. :-( I paid $1600 for a set of 4, including road warranty, installation, tax, etc. I had the Dunlops before and these are much quieter tires than the Dunlops. Overall, I like them alot.

I started with the stock Dunlop's Maxx GT, then went to the Pole Positions, and now I am on working on a set of Pilot Supersports. I think I like the Dunlops the most. And I assume you are talking about summer tires because thats all I run.

Interesting, yeah I'm talking about summer tires but I do drive the car in the winter too when it's not snowing out.....The dunlop worked pretty ok in light snow but for some reason I'm only averaging 12k per set of tires.....

Do you have 19" or 20" wheels? I wanted the SuperSports but at least here in the US, they are unavailable in the stock 20" sizes needed.

As far as longevity, the Dunlops only have a tread rating of 240. I got 14k on the stock set, which is about what I expected.

I replaced the original Dunlops at 15000 miles with Continental Extreme Contact DWS. Ride is much quieter than the Dunlops which started going away at about 9000 miles. Only been a few hundred miles but so far I am happy with them.
