What's anyone hearing about the future of the Jaguar Saloon now that EV is out?

KalamazooJag, in short, anything that can be considered a saloon/sedan will not be made with a Jaguar emblem on it by 2025. The XJ died out in 2019, the XE if I remember right dies out this year, and the XF is going to be no longer in either 2024/25. It is all going the way of the mini-Ute vehicles like the F-pace/E-pace. So, if you are looking for a sedan like the XJ, then you better find yourself a nice 2019 and buy it soon. I don't see a change in this concept any time soon unless there is a drastic change in vehicles desired in the near future. This is the same path that Dodge, Chevy, and Ford are going. In 2 years, look to see what your options for sedans are. I know for Ford, Your only car option will be a Mustang. Chevy, it will be the Camaro and Corvette. Can't say I have heard what their options are going to be, but I know there is talk about an electrified Charger and Challenger. So, you can imagine they are not far behind.

I drove an I-Pace a few weeks ago and was impressed by the car, but the range is not really any good for a person that wants a car for long trips, and most of us do from time to time. It is just like a normal car inside, unlike the awful Tesla interiors with that massive PC screen.
Unfortunately, the future seems to be all SUVs at present. Is it because we are no longer allowed to go faster than trucks, everybody has decided to buy one ?

Being owners of both an XJ-L, as well as an F-Pace, I can agree with you. Yes, the F-Pace is a good "commuter" type of vehicle, but in all reality, with my wife and I both on the tall side, it's a bit cramped. My Grand Cherokee is far roomier, if you want to talk CUV/SUVs, and once you manage to get into it, even my Corvette is roomier that the F-pace. But if we're going someplace that's more than 20 minutes away, our first choice is the XJ, over the F-Pace, and I don't understand why Jaguar is dropping this platform....
