Where is OBD port on 2015 Jaguar XJL Portfolio

![Question](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I have a message that pops up stating "Service Required". There are no warning lights or error codes so I'm thinking that the dealer i purchased this from (not a Jaguar dealer) didn't reset after an oil change. So I'm trying to attach my code reader to 1) check on all codes - if any and 2) to clear this message. Can someone provide some expert advice? Just need to know where this damn ODB port is!!
thanks
Phil

bigphilly463, the first time connecting, I would tell you to open the driver's door and kneel down next to the seat. Then, if you look under the dash near the trim at the door jam, you will see the OBD port there a few inches from where the footwell trim meets the dash.
Like was mentioned, the Service Required light comes on every 12 months, not at a time that you really need an oil change or other things. If you have a condition that gives an OBD code that is engine related, then you will see an amber engine light come on on the instrument cluster. To reset the light, you need a special code reader. Just not any reader willl do. Plan on spending about $200 on one of these code readers. I have the Autel unit that supposedly resets the light and yes, it does reset the light, but only for 3 days, not for the full 12 months. Maybe now that I have learned a few more things with the Autel unit, I may have done something wrong in the reset process. Most people just ignore the warning and drive their cars, paying attention to other indications of service being needed.
