Windshield Chip Repair
#2
It's always best to hire a real guru to fix these chips and cracks. Ask around local car clubs for recommendations. The stuff you buy at the parts store is no where near as good as what the real pro's use. They also check for invisible "legs" by carefully pressing in the area and then drill any necessary tiny relief holes which stops the spreading of the cracks. Not a novice thing. I have also been told to never hire a company that also does windshield replacement, because it's a conflict of interest for them. If they do a crappy repair or tell you it can't be repaired, then they get a shot at selling you a replacement.
