x351, 3.0 diesel - Self Service

My MY13 XJ , 3.0litre diesel is now out of warranty.
The final warranty items which were kindly sorted by the dealer was;
1. a new sunroof kit ( which got rid of minor creaking noise),
2 a new drivers door handle ( keyless entry and locking faulty)
3. Sump gasket replacement ( minor weep reported during previous service) which I assumed included changing the oil
However the paper work from the dealer has been very patchy (ie. did not include an itemised service check list, and cannot know from the paper work what exactly has been done to the car) so I decided to do the next service myself - with a little help from my local garage for the brake pads fitting)
40K Kms. - 3rd annual service ( 1st out of warranty service)
Carlube Triple R, C1 oil ( meets ACEA C1 & Ford M2C934-B specs)
Oil vacuum extraction method.
The X351 has no dip stick but does have a dedicated pipe, all ready to go for oil extraction, I had the extraction device already
I love this device - 15 minutes to change the oil & filter!!!
€85 for 7 litres of Oil & Filter
EBC Redstuff Ceramic brake pads & wear indicator leads, front & rear €260 (€180 for pads online + €80 "While u wait" fitting - at local garage )
Autocom CDP+ DS150 clone scanner to reset "service required" message and check for any other faults €100 ( from local adverts site)
Am looking forward to playing with the Autocom some more in the future.
Job done!
