Default X351 - High Mileage

Hi, I am considering a purchase of a 3.0 Diesel model. Is there any reason to fear high mileage if correctly serviced? I haven't had a 100k+ mileage car before but I hear that modern cars can handle these mileages.

Nothing really comes to mind. It will be the usual stuff on a car of that mileage. All the suspension bushes will be shot if not already changed. I would make sure that the gearbox has had it's fluid changed at 60k ish. It's not on the service schedule but is important to keep it going. Ensure it has a full history with either Jag or a Jag specialist.

I've got 123,000 on my XJ and it's still going strong (but it has the 5.0). Since 100,000 miles we have replaced suspension bushings and a new AC compressor ($600).

Thanks for the replies - I'll give this a try - if it works out then I'll get a top spec car for about 50% of the price for my regular low mileage preference It has a Jaguar warranty so the big stuff should be caught by that. I'll be here to update.
