Hi, I'm contemplating buying an x351 with V8 and would like feedback of what to expect, especially in comparison to the older X350 XJ-series, as well as any other guidance.

I've got the older X350 Super V8 and used to have an x308 VDP, so getting newer with my old Jaguars each purchase, lol.

If you take some time & read the existing posts in the forum, you'll get a much better idea than what you'll get by asking others to completely re-create and summarize all things x351 for you in your post.
There are lots of valuable posts that go into detail where needed, nothing that you could expect to be presented here again for you to it's fullest benefit. They also include responses and input from others that know the specific topic - and that's often where the best value is.
That should be the same as you've seen on the forums for your other Jags, so you're no stranger to the nature of the forum.

 

Even though I have owned both models I have to agree with Mark. Its all here for you to read. Choose to not read it all - or not - at your own risk.

That being said, the answer to your basic question will be "Yes". It is hard to not be happy with an X351. Unless you are completely DIY challenged.

 

I have experience with both and they are very different cars right from the get go.
Can't say which one is better but urge you to do some test drives and see what you think?
I am biased as I have a 2014 XJR which I am very happy with.

I also agree with 12jagmark and keep reading and looking for different view points. We even have a thread on the X351 about what you DON'T like. Sometimes reading negatives things about a car is more informative than reading all the good stuff!
