Cool XJ 2010 Depreciation - kept most of its value!

Based in the UK here with a September 60 plate 2010 XJ. I have had a look on a popular UK motors site autotrader and my Jag is selling privately and at garages for almost the same price! Had a few models that are within £1000 of the original price, sometimes more!

Just wondering has anyone experienced similar in their local regions? Is it because the shape hasn't changed?

You bought it after the big depreciation hit already happened.

This is true, however you would still expect after 2 years (when the car was 4 years old) there to be "some" depreciation (when the car became 6 years old), but there has not been any.

Are you looking at 'asking price' or 'sold for price'.

There's usually a considerable difference.

Asking price I've seen recently varies from 22k-24k, top end of that bracket is from dealers.

I got mine from a dealer when it was advertised for 23k and got it for 22.5k, so the fact in 2 years its more or less the same
