Default XJ Battery buss bar cover removal

Want to install a quick connect Battery Tender cable, can’t seem to get the bottom of the cover off

What year is your XJL and which engine?

I had no problem installing a CTEK maintainer in mine. Search for my thread.

Our battery compartments may be different. I connected the positive lead of my CTEK pigtail directly to the positive terminal of the primary battery, and the negative lead to a chassis ground. See https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...lation-130801/ Although the photos show alligator clips, the pigtails are now secured to those terminals with nuts.

I assume it will charge both batteries? Although my positive connection may be under the cover in my photo. I have to check again. Thanks

Just took another look. Our layout is the same. Your hookup will work. Thanks for the help.
