Default XJ brake pad review and recommendation

I just changed the front pads on my 2012 XJ supersport with Brembo ceramics and thought I'd share an opinion for people looking at pads.

Previous pads appear to be OEM, huge amounts of dust and they were way too sensitive. A couple of times I would throw my passengers against their seatbelts. Also made a very slight grinding noise at low speeds (drive through line with window open).

Brembos are way more progressive. No noise and expecting less dust. Got 'em from Rock Auto.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Do you have a part number for these? We’re they the same size/ shape as OEM? Thanks again.

Bullittandy I ordered a full set of these and wonder how they are working out for you now that you have had them on for a time?

I've got a couple hundred miles on them and first impressions remain. I should add that pedal feel remains firm though maybe slightly softer than the stock pads but not objectionable.

Try looking at Rock Auto by part number "P36026N", They show one set in stock for $30.00.

I bought mine off the Brembo official site. they were a bit more but the came quickly. I haven't had them installed yet, but will report back after I put some miles on them.
