Default XJ Grill removal

Hey!

I was thinking of painting the mesh grill surround black just like the XJR. The stock grill is just a little too much chrome for me.

From the little odds and ends I have found online, the mesh grill is a separate piece that just clips into the front bumper cover. I was hunting around online for an exploded view of the front end and couldn't find one. Anyone know where we could find such a thing?

I tried searching, but it kept finding older models. If someone knows of a '11 or newer model being taken apart or a thread with pictures, please post.

Here is about all I could find for descriptions;

Ebay listing for bumper cover

Aftermarket grill:
hand woven mesh grille | jaguar xj | jaguar x351 mesh grille

I also started unfastening the front bumper cover and WOW. There are so many panels under there. All bolted together. She isn't coming off easily and I sure don't want to screw it up. Any pointers would be fantastic!

... and eBay showing pics of the back side. There are tabs under the headlights that are going to be tricky.

Default grill removal

I recently removed the front bumper and grill on my '06 XJR for repainting. Grill is a piece of cake. The bottom of the grill has two tabs that slide into front of the car and the grill is secured with two screws that hold it in place.
