Hey guys. This is my first post here. Just got the 2012 XJ L last week. Great car (except for the slow touchscreen). I noticed that there is no way to turn on the LED strip under the headlights. I even asked my son to stand in front and tried a bunch of things including putting it in drive, switching off the parking brake, turning the light switches to all different positions. Called the dealer and he said they are only accent lights but very dim and you won't really see it during the day and only when you have the lights set to manual. That's kind of a disappointment if that's true. Is it? Or do I have to take it to the service department?

Sorry the LED strip is not intended to be daytime running lights. I'm surprised they didn't put them on the 2012's....... They did put them on the 2012 XF. IMHO the front of the XJ doesn't need LED lights to draw attention to itself. You see them coming! It was a cool idea when Audi started it but now their ALL doing it.

The dealer is the one that can only turn the daytime running lamps on and they are a combination of the low beam and the LED strip which is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. I think they had character to the car is done right. And right now Audi is at the top of the game. I live in Germany where Audi's abound and I can always tell when one is behind me. I wish we had better ones. They ones on the Porsche Panamera Turbo are hot as well.
