I was the one that bought the 67k mile 575 in the UK that was on sale in Dec. I didn't expect much, but when I went to view it was in lovely condition and had been really looked after. Hopefully it will be a good car. I'd been waiting around for one for ages. Is the grey one still for sale (mentioned earlier?) I think it was @Simon Drabble . I never saw it come to market? (I have a family member who might be interested).

I have it on good authority that only 113 x 575s were produced for the UK market.

Recently changed my '19 575 for a '23 F-Type R. Kind of miss the refinement of the 575.

The green one is.

(... but assuming that you are chris-b, you presumably already know that!)

Yep. Seen the green one and know the owner from the 'other' forum!

Yep.

Price seems high for 45K miles and a Carfax accident

It sounds like a deal to me if they can provide a copy of the repair bill to verify the accident was minor.

You must not have bought the one in Dallas last year?

nope, I still haven’t bought one yet.

Still looking for a blue with white interior if you happen to know somebody who has one 😁

How many of this spec have you seen up for sale in the US? God knows how long you might be waiting around to find it.

As for the white one up for sale, no way I would pay $60k for that. Has an accident and thing looks like it's been ran through. Seats are stained, front bumber/grill looks shoddy, etc.

In the UK, out of the 110 or so XJ575s produced in UK spec, only around 10 are blue with the light interior. So 1 in 10 over here. I don't know what the numbers will be like in the US. I guess it depends on how popular the blue is as an XJ colour over there.

Oh, if you write to the Jaguar Heritage Trust in the UK and ask for a "Research Enquiry", for a small fee (£35 + VAT - it goes towards their running costs), they could probably provide you with details of the US 575 numbers.

I think a buyer who's really serious about owning this car has realistic expectations of what to expect when one hits the market. It's 5-6 year old car that is no longer in production and will probably never come back. For some of us that just about trumps everything! It's unrealistic to think that someone who owns this car is not driving it regularly and plans to sell it down the line.

This car doesn't even have 50K miles on it. I don't consider that "ran through". I feel the pictures they posted are shoddy. Not sure why they posted pictures with the hood popped? The leather can treated. As for the accident, we don't know what we don't know. This is why I would request a copy of the repair bill. The carfax says "minor". That could mean they hit someone on bicycle and only the paint got scratched but a police report had to be filed.

This one is Yulong White. They will probably have it sold in 60 days.

I took a look at the pics. No way I would even consider buying from a place that cared so little that they would not even properly clean the car before taking photos.

Interior looks very dirty and that indicates the previous owner had little concern for the car. The old saying "rode hard and put away wet" comes to mind. And at 45K miles it is on the cusp of a LOT of maintenance sooner than later.

While it is a beast of a car, it is still a very used car.

A car like this at that asking price would never be my problem to sort out.

That being said I agree they will likely sell it quickly to some uninformed speed junkie who has no idea of the pain forthcoming.

Best of luck to the buyer.

Guys, I was jokingly referring to YepItsme's car. His is blue with white interior. and is a beauty! But he's not selling.

I agree that the white car recently listed for sale looks a bit rough. And the pictures are HORRIBLE. That alone says a lot to me

Is it similar to this? My favorite XJ colour! (and a matching XE in the background)

Regarding getting production info from the Jaguar Heritage Trust. Last year I asked for information on both my 2013XKR and 2018 XJR 575. They provided the info on the XKR; but they advised that they only have info Jaguars that are at least ten years old. So, if we are going to rely on them we have 4-5 years to wait unless they change their policy.

I mean it was kind of an exaggeration when I said ran through, but I meant it as the car doesn't give the appearance of having a pampered life. I think the realistic expectations someone would have for this car is that if they want a 575 take what you can get as I've only seen a couple up for sale since I've been watching. Personally I think $60k would be appropriate with no accidents. For this, low $50s. If I was on the market I would hold out for something better even if it was a 550. These pictures.. this car just doesn't rub me the right way.

I don't think everyone on this thread realizes these pictures were not taken at the dealer's location. These pics are from one of those larger dealer-only auctions that many of the cars you find for sale at dealers go through before being dolled up and put on a showroom floor. The auction cars stay parked outside in huge parking lots so dealers can look at them inside and out before bidding. They can even drive them, if they start and have gasoline in the tank. The dealers expect some level of reconditioning will be needed, but they aren't the slightest bit bothered that the exterior needs a wash and interior needs a clean, unlike the owners on this forum.

From the pics, the car is in the staging area waiting to go through the auction. The hoods are always popped up during these auctions, so this is perfectly normal.

Now why they decided to post these pics from the staging area of a dealer auction seems stupid to me, but they probably just wanted to get pics right away to start advertising it for sale. In my opinion, if you are interested in one of these rare cars in this color combo, it makes sense to go look at in person. It's probably cleaned up by now. And if it looks solid in person, negotiate on the miles and accident history to get a better price. I wouldn't avoid considering it just because the dealer did a bonehead move of posting crappy pics from a dealer auction since many nice used cars you see at dealers are in this state at some point in their sales lifecycle.
