Default XJ V8 Badge Placement

Hi everyone, first post here. I just ordered a 5.0 badge for the trunk of my XJL SC and saw some V8 badges in the same font available online. I decided to pick up 2 of them so I could put them on the front fenders under the vents. I have seen a few factory XJ's with these before, but can't find anything on which trim levels have them or which ones don't. I was curious about the location and spacing of them too, but again, information is sparse. Wondering if anyone else has noticed the same thing or had any insight! Best I could find was this picture online.

I'm fairly certain that the factory never installed a V8 badge on an X351. Same for a Leaper hood ornament. But some owners like to personalize their cars with those and other embellishments, so to each his own. It's your car to enjoy as you like it.

I recently ordered the "Jaguar" script for the trunk of my '12 Portfolio.
I will let the dealer install it and they can take care of properly placing it on the trunk.
I'm sure you will get some assistance from a member of this forum.

Since this thread is about adding badging to your car, I thought I'd see what you think about this car. Here's a clue: the license tag is the only thing that's right. So what's wrong with this picture?

If you read this post and didn't know the answer, please reply "I don't know." Just curious to see how many Forum members don't know. Hopefully, the first person who sees this won't know.

Hope you had as good a laugh as I did!

This is the OEM badge what Jaguar starts to mount on the fenders from MY12. So if you haven't them it means your car is to old or you have i4 2.0 engine.
I have ordered this badges from Jaguar as for the boot but install them was a nightmare so i went to the dealers showroom to get dimensions where it must be nounted exactly.

In the USA we have never had a V8 or V6 badges unser the side vents, but looking on the Jaguar Russia site you do, indeed, have V6 and V8 badgea under the side vents.

Default Finally Got Them Installed!

Hey guys, so I finally got the badges and installed them. Took FOREVER to get them shipped, but they finally arrived last weekend. Spent the day cleaning up the exterior and very carefully placing them on. I didn't want to go through the dealer to do it; there's something to be said about doing it yourself! I think they look great! I definitely appreciate all of the tips - I did have to access the Jaguar of Russia site for the placement of the fender badges though!

Beautiful car! I'm not a fan of adding badges but I think you have pulled it off well. And if it's standard in other markets than I think it's fair game. Nicely done.

Two weeks ago had the dealership install the "Jaguar" on the trunk and also had them install the MGP caliper covers. Was told the warranty does not cover the caliper covers but in advance that was understood. My next addition, next year, might be the front/rear illuminated sills.
