Just had them installed today at the Jaguar Dealership. They never installed any before, but were willing to do the install. The dealership charged me for 1/2 hour service. Total $54, plus tax. I thought that was fair. I was going to install myself, but was concerned about using a floor jack and damaging the Jaguar frame.

I installed MPG caliper brake covers on my '09 Corvette, but unfortunately also had ceramic brake pucks installed simultaneously, so I can't report on which did what. But overall these two things reduced brake dust accumulation on my wheels and tires by ~90%. I also use ArmorAll Wheel Protectant, which helps repel brake dust and road grime and dirt on the wheels.
Bottom line: my Vette wheels used to look terrible after simply driving around the block. I now can drive many miles with minimal dirtying, which can be easily removed with paper toweling.

My second new car was a black 1964 Ford Galaxy 500 four-door hardtop with bucket seats up front, and a sound system that created a concert hall delayed reflected sound. Ah, those were the days!

Hey Retriever, I just looked over your previous transportation ownership's, including a horse, one of which I also owned (a three-gated Mayer).
My second new car was a black 1964 Ford Galaxy 500 four-door hardtop with bucket seats up front, and a sound system that created a concert hall delayed reflected sound. Ah, those were the days!

But, that '64 was my first vehicle and I still miss that thing. Mine was blue interior and exterior with black convertible top. It also had the bucket seats up front and center floor console/shift, and it was a two door vehicle. I didn't know much about cars (still don't) in those days so I had the oem "sound" system-ha-ha.
I see you're in NC. A month before I got my XJL, my uncle in Fayetteville got his-2011 XJL metallic blue w/ white leather interior--nice looking automobile.
Good talking to you. Be safe on the highway.

Had some really great times w/ the toys. I owned the horse for 10 yrs--he acted like a stallion and he would fight other geldings but was calm every time I rode (western rider) even if I was riding in a company with other cowboys/girls and their horses.

I bought that sexy black Ford XL 500 4 door hard top, with an all black leather interior, off a dealers floor shortly after getting married for about $3,600.00, and within a month or two, got a draft notice from Uncle Sam.
I managed to quickly enlist in the Army Reserve, so I only had to serve six months active duty. During basic training President Kennedy was assassinated. I subsequently became, after specialized training, a Platoon Sargent, and provided advanced Infantry training to troops who served in Vietnam (a sorry *** war for sure, just as our efforts against ISIS, and for the same reasons, incompetent Executive Branch leadership).
Good talking to you, and also be safe.

How Times Have Changed
After experiencing the thrill of a Jaguar with 470, why would anyone want just 1 horsepower?
