xjl CALIPER COVERS
Good afternoon, still waiting for the drivers side door latch to come in and figure I should do everything I would like to do when my car is in the dealership.
I would like to get a set of the caliper covers , is anyone selling a set? Do you recomend these for covering the rust and cutting down on the dust. (Just got new rims) or should I just have them painted?
As usual i look forward to your recomendations. Many thanks, Maria

Maria,
I wouldn't use caliper covers, as they can adversely affect brake performance. You can have them restored, with new paint and decals. Read this:

Regarding brake covers, I get it with Brembo as they tend to be fitted to performance vehicles. It may be applicable if fitting them on a car you take to track days, but probably wouldn’t make any difference to an XJ whatsoever.
It’s also not a surprise a brake manufacturer doesn’t like fake covers making out its their product that’s fitted.
