Default XJL Rear trays don't go down all the way

So has anyone had this fixed and what does it entail? I am almost afraid to take my car back to the "zoo" again.

They only travel a certain distance anyway, for example if the rear seat is recline more forward, as oppose to more rearward, the trays look like they don't go down all the way. Normally they are slightly less then 90 degrees. Now if they are 45 degrees or less then I would say yeah there's a problem.

I mean when you put the trays in the down position the hinges are not fully extended and you can't push it down far enough to make them fully extended. It is obvious that the tray is not in it's intended final position. Not even close to flat, you can see it needs to go further down, but it won't go that far. When they are closed the top latch works.

Not sure, but mine don't go down all the way. But seem to be down as far as the hinge allows. I don't think they ever are going to be at 90 degree. Mine stop at about 10 degree "upward" with seat backrest in an average position.

In my X350, you just have to adjust the seat back angle. Compromises have to be made if you want the trays completely flat!
