Question Xjl transmission

My 2011 xjl seems to have a slippery take off from a stop, not always but more from when slowing to a stop then taking off without a full stop, anyone else?

Do you mean that the engine revs but the car doesn't accelerate as expected and it feels like the transmission is slipping?

How many miles on your car? Are you the original owner? Have you checked the transmission fluid level and color? Does the transmission fluid have a "burned" odor?

Well, I learn something new every day. Since I haven't had any need to check the transmission fluid in my car, I assumed it had a dipstick and filler neck. I should have known better, considering it has an electronic engine oil dipstick. Sometimes I think old school was better.
