Default 6.0 cutaway engine

The cutaway 6.0 engine at the Jaguar Collection in Gaydon UK which they currently have stuffed under the stairs on the left when you go in, making it a bit hard to photograph.

Happy holidays to all!

The racing engine has 4 valves per cylinder and the production car version has 2 to be able to fit in the space of the engine compartment from what I understand not having a V - 12

There is a good Youtube video from the factory on the technical aspects of the Jaguar V - 12 be it the early versions

I said to the docent volunteers at Gaydon earlier in the week when I took those photos it was typical Jag to squeeze the huge engine in under the stairs where you can't get at it, just like the XJ12 engine bay, but they didn't get the joke...

That engine has 6.0 style intake, but where’s the 6.0 block crosshatching?

The Jaguar V12 Engine - YouTube
aj6 headed 48 valve fits no problem. it never because they were broke and eventually the engine plant had to close down anyways.

thankfully TWR went bust in the 90s and the ford v12 came into the picture

So thats what it looks like... No not the inside, the outside, all shiny and without layers of dirt on it!

Look at the curvature of those fuel rail crossover hoses... purrfect.

This one must be a NA spec for the XJ81 or XJS V12. Crossover pipe, air injection.

Thanks for that rear view Oliver, I had a good look at that air injection Y-hose. I had to remove the upper connections to get to the engine speed sensor today (I don't think this pictured V12 has that sensor). It was actually pretty easy to remove and replace the sensor. But it was extremely dirty down there.
