Default New Daimler double six owner (1996)

Well, after lusting after this car for many years, I finally did the deed!

A beautiful 1996 car with 55k miles in almost perfect condition. It was a Japanese export car and re-imported to the uk in 2017. It looks like it may have been a consulate car during its time in Japan. There is a huge history file (In Japanese of course!) so I will have some fun translating.

I own 3 Jaguar xjs's but have always wanted an X305 or X330. It seems like the last of these cars had the best of all V12's and the XJ body/electrics seem to have been developed more than the corresponding XJS's.

I've owned a couple of Jaguar XJ's in the past....a problematic X350 with weird corrosion issues and a sublime (and cheap) X308 (xjr) that I owned whilst in the USA. That car was sensational and I hope the X330 measures up as well!

Will post some photos when I have the new girl delivered!

I think you will be glad you did the deed. Your new DD6 will be near sensational, but in a bit of a different way than the X308R. Sublime is a good way to describe the X305 I think. Are any of your XJS powered with the V12? If so it will be very interesting for you to compare all the major and minor differences. Post up a picture of the XJS trio as well, if you don't mind. Best of luck.

Thanks! Yes 2 of my XJS's have the V12....one a 5.3 and one the later 6L from 1994. The 6L I just an engine out refurb so it will indeed be interesting to compare the two!
