Default Where does this go?

Almost finished the 10 month job of changing the startermotor core, changing the rh catalytic converter, cleaning the alternator inside out, changing the power steering pump seals, changing the power steering hoses reservoir side, changing the sparkplugs and the condenser.
Although I labeled every single nut and bolt I am left with this little earth cable. I really don’t know where this should go.

Anyone any ideas?
Olav

G’day Olav,

Did you have the bonnet/hood off your car? That cable looks like the earthing cable between the car body and the bonnet/hood that goes near the LHS hinge.

Cheers,
Jeff.

Yes I have the bonnet off. Will see if I can trace the bolts where it is attached.

Thanks.

Apparently this little cable earths out and discharges any static electricity buildup on the bonnet which could interfere with the car’s electronics.

There is a post which explains it in detail and if I can find it I’ll re-post it.

Cheers,
Jeff.
