Hi Mrbigluckyflavor,
Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! I have moved your thread from the forum for the X308 to the forum for the X350, which is the Jaguar factory project code for the 2004-2009 XJ8.
In the U.S.A., $6,000.00 could be a very fair price for a 2004 XJ8 in clean condition, having done 124K miles, with the air suspension converted to coils. I would recommend having the car inspected by an independent mechanic who knows Jaguars and who can scan the car for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), including not only the generic Powertrain codes (P-prefix), but also the proprietary Body (B-), Chassis (C-) and Network (U-) codes.
A full service history would be helpful so you could see if the car has had any work on the cooling system (water pump, hoses, reservoir, radiator) or suspension bushings in addition to the coil conversion. Another common issue is a sagging headliner.
Cheers,
Don
