The jaguar dealer in las vegas sells parts cheaper via the web than my local dealer does over the counter, usually by 20% or so. Even with shipping the advantage is worth it. Once you get a jaguar part number for your pump, you might be able to cross reference to ford. Maybe Lincoln LS uses same one? I did find ford parts for my X-type that matched and were less money. I have gone back over this thread and do not see the part about misfire codes. Are you saying you got eight codes for misfire on all eight cylinders? Did you drive back to the stranded car and read codes or pay someone to tow it somewhere and read them or what? Confused here.

Sorry, its a fuel pressure sensor, not regulator. Mine suddenly sprung a leak once. Small black box type thing on the end of the passenger side rail.

problem solved
Unplugged the maf sensor and it started right up. Went to autozone and got a new one with a lifetime warranty for $85.00. Drove it home without incident. Think I'll keep an extra one in the glovebox from now on. Who knew it would shut the car down completely while going down the road?! Thanks to all of you who lent me their support on this one
