What does the owner manual say about service at that mileage. One thing you should consider is replacing the transmission fluid. Lots of debates on which is the correct fluid. Jaguar charges a ton, but since the transmission is shared between BMW and Audi; ZF has the fluid from them.
Would like to know exactly which on to buy as I want to do this service as well.

The new Hyundai Genesis hasZF 6 speedwith the 4.6L engine, may be finally some cheap trany fluid.
Few people complain about failing air suspension compressor - should be about 600 (total pars + labor).
On number of people the DSC light has come on and thenoff - this could be a number of things, but mostly pain to investigate.

ZF says the 6HP26 uses ZF LifeGuard6 Fluid which is not real expensive ($15/L). Jaguar says to use the Shell fluid they list in the manual and ask over $50 a liter for it. They sell it in bulk, not liter containers. I would use the Jaguar fluid and pay the cost at 60,000 miles. It might be as much as $1200 if done at the dealerbut it will extend the life of the unit and a replacement of this unit could run into the $4000 and up range at theapprox 100K miles life. I suggest buying the correct Shell fluid from the dealer, change it cold by draining, measuring the amount drainedand putting that amount back in at the same temp. Then drive to the dealer and get the level checked on their computer at the correct temp. This will save a lot of money and get the same accurate result as the dealer change. The thing one does not know is what mods Jag made to the ZF unit that might require a special fluid, this is just not out there for us shadetree guys. One will note that the tranny does have a friction modifier problem in some units, with the E clutch tending to stick, evenr with the right fluid!

Maybe my independent Jag repair place can do the job then and have the dealer look at it after?
I have to reset my airbag light after light bumper bender I just had repaired. I did not crack the bumper, but broke a fog light and needed to repaint the bumper. While at it, I decided to repaint the rear bumper too as it had a couple of parking scrapes. The joy of living in the city...
Is it easy to reset the airbag light?

... a few years back, my dealer told me that the ZF transmission on my car was sealed and would not need service until 100K miles. Is this incorrect?

Sealed for life means just that, its life runs until it fails at any time, a ludicrous concept to pass off to customers. With the sealed units in the X308's, many failed by 100K. I have seen fluid from a few of these failed units and it is trashed by 60K miles. ZF says on their rebuild website that the fluid in the sealed for life units is good for 60,000 miles, get it changed no later than that if you want the tranny to be dependable past that point.
