04 XJR Headlight Issue
#22
Did you get your new bulbs yet? I got mine today from Amazon. I would be curious if you could compare your original OSRAM bulbs to the new ones you ordered.
I just posted an update to a thread I had started a while ago regarding these and find a bit of difference between the factory OSRAM and the replacement OSRAM.
Thank you.

I noticed in the pictures that your original bulb/ignitor was 66043 and the new one was 66144. The black rubber around the base of the 66043 is more pronounced. Most people have recommended ordering the new D1S 66144 like you did. I assume it fit properly? Perhaps this has replaced the older (original 66043)?

So I have had the same issues but both my headlights blink on and off after a few minutes of turning them on I have had the car into the dealer many times and all they say is that they can't get it to happen when they have the car, does this sound like a ballast problem to you all or could it be something else? The lights will just blink and not go off all together but other drivers think I am flashing my lights at them it is very annoying and it has been this way since I got the car three years ago and the extended warranty expires soon any thoughts?

Try replacing/swapping the HID Relay and/or check Battery Voltage.
