Default 04 XJR Navigation Screen Flickering & Communication Fault

Ive searched through the archives but didn't find anything quite like the problem Im experiencing.
Radio and everything works, but it switches constantly between the Jaguar home screen, to the radio, to the navigation, to a screen that has communication fault. It does it constantly, however the radio will continue to work uninterrupted during this. The screen flickers and changes so fast that you can't select anything. I replaced the battery and that didn't solve anything. I did not reset the unit, I tried resetting it a few weeks ago the way I read in other threads but that didn't seem to do anything at all.
I'd appreciate any help regarding this matter!

You may have to take it to either a Jag dealer or an indie auto electronics shop for a diagnosis and possible repair job. I had my touch screen repaired by my Jag dealer. They had to do some clean up and replaced some electronic bits. Cost was about $750 or so.

Jag dealer is pretty far away, was hoping that someone else had some options, maybe a possible reset that would work on this.

A hard reset would be the cheapest thing to try first. Basically, disconnect the two battery cables and then touch them together for about 20 seconds or so to discharge the capacitors and re-connect them.

The hard reset didn't seem to do anything.
