EVERYONE STOP!

lol I hate to be a party pooper but staggered set ups on these XJs is a big no-no. It throws off the ABS and DSC systems big time. As factory specs will show no XJ comes with staggered set ups even on the R or Super V8 models.

I have seen staggered options from Jaguar including the s-type R which I have also owned. If the diameters of the tires match, what difference does it make?

The wheels rock, no doubt. As "Rowdy" from Days of Thunder said: "don't change a thing"-

All the ABS and DSC cares about is rolling diameter. IF the staggered setup is the same diameter (or within specs) front to rear then all is fine. If you go 70's muscle car with huge tires in the back and small tires in the front you're going to cause the type of issues you are describing.

I have a staggered 19" setup coming for my XJR as well.

Take care,

George

I've have had the XK wheels on both of my XJ8s. The only downfall is it handles better. The ABS works less because the tires have much better traction. It grips the road better too so less traction control interference. Diameter is the same the tires are just wider so there is more road contact area and increased traction.

Where the wheels you put on your XJ8 the same staggered set up as the ones on this XJR? I want to purchase these wheels of ebay as well but I noticed two things wrong. The OP says his tires are 255/40 and 285/35? This seems wrong. I called the ebay seller and told him I had a 04' XJ8 and he said the tires should be 255/35 and 285/30. Can any body help on this situation?

Depends on the rim width & diameter. Matched sizes include 245/45-19 275/40-19

Thank you very much for the comments everyone. I'm glad many of you also like the rims. Unfortunately for the past 2 years the car has been out of commission. The bearing broke and I ended up just selling the XJR to my mechanic. The rims and tire set up was boss tho. Just make sure to avoid the potholes to those who are looking at this set up. The rim dents easily, and the Hankooks have a weak sidewall that can bubble under a strong pothole hit.

I think the rims look fantastic. +1 do NOT like the appearance of the stick-on side grills.

I have actually been looking for a new set for a while..

Can anyone tell me which ones these are??

Sorry if this is someones car on here, the rims are awesome though.

If you changed wheel size, did you get your speedo recalibrated? On my Jeep I went from factory 225's to 31" wheels and the speedo was 6MPH off (which also affects the odometer accuracy)!

The diameter remained the same. Just the width changed. No difference in speedo. My car has wheels from 2010 XKR. They look incredible and no adverse affects observed. I had the same wheels on my 2005.

Here you go:

They still clear the fender when air suspension is fully compressed.

Thanks for the pics. You have the same size staggered rims I just installed on my Super V8. I am having an issue with the tire rubbing on the inside wall of the RH wheel well. Notice anything on yours?

Also, those 275/35-19 tires you have on the rear are proper size for the XK but a bit small in diameter compared to the 255/40-19 Jaguar recommends, which also contributes somewhat to a firmer ride.

Can any one clarify the correct tire sizes for this car front and rear with these wheels? I want to make sure the rolling diameter is the same as stock so I don't have any problems. O yea I have an 04' xj8.

Happy to help! As I asked you before, what rims are you referring to? What size? On mine, the book says 27" diameter.
