Talking 05 XJR Front Brake Pads-- Free

I have a set of OEM Brembo front pads for free. They have about 500 to 1000 miles on them. They came off my "gone but not forgotten" 05 XJR. One rotor warped after a brake job and the repair shop insisted on using all new components in the rebuild. I kept the pads thinking I would use them someday.

If you are in central FL -- come on over and get em. If you are elsewhere and really, really need them I will ship at your expense.

I'm learning about 04-05 XJR as I think I'm in the market for one. I keep hearing about the cars in the past tense. Is there a problem with these cars that I haven't picked up.
Now I read that they don't have a tranny dip stick in another post.
Should I be looking at another year/model?
Many thanks,
Jim

Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes, among other manufacturers, use ZF transmissions which are "sealed for life" and do not have a dipstick. There are many threads that offer helpful information regarding these transmissions and vehicles. Of course there are many other things to consider besides transmission type. The bottom line is these are great cars and you made a wise choice considering them.

Good luck.
