Default 05 xjr transmission sounds like its falling apart (fixed) bad coil packs

I recently bought this car at a good price ,because the owner didn't have the capability to fix it .went to test it mechanic told them trans was shot.read the codes --trans gear ratios 3/4 --reset and never came back.it also had multi. misfires amongst other -knox sensor,02 sensore ect --bought it towed it home after 1 month(have a full time job and went to Europe to see wifes family.took it to get emissions proof of falure so I could get temporary tag. next morning I changed 3 coil packs --now the trans was acting real bad on a hill would jerk violently .just normal it would jerk while shifing or just fall out of gear also it would act like it was slipping tack would jump from 1500 rpm to 3000+ and I,d let off the gas ---now also these people told me it just had a tune up (and it does have very clean bocsh iridium plus --anyhow with the coil pacs changed (3) it runs very good (won,t say great just yet has a few other problems)but that is the fix ---now need to change coils 1/7/8 my code readers don,t see it but it was seen at the emissions center(passed though)
