Gentlemen;

Went to look at a 03 XJR 63,000 put the scanner on it came up with a P1000 code. I took that to mean they cleared any codes prior to my checking out the car. Would I be correct?
Also on the roof there seem to be some fogging of the clear coat right before the sunroof can this be removed or minmized by a buff out?
Also the previous owner put a wind deflector in front of the sunroof opening assuming I can use a 3M product to get the damn thing off any opinions on what I'll find i.e paint discoloration etc.
There's a local shop near the seller that says they can do an inspection of wheel bearings, ujoints etc., but don't know if I should have the car sent to Jaguar for inspection(which is my usual course when buying out of town). I had some bad experiences with this dealer in town saying I needed more then what I really needed done to the cars.
Other then that it seemed clean, asking final price $9,800.

Any thoughts?

You may have posted in the wrong forum. Is your car the aluminium saloon or the previous steel one. Both model series had an XJR variant.

 

Thansk but the 308 series was all steel the 04 is Aluminiun unless I missed something along the way.
