2004 VDP left side electrical problem
The display screen on my wife's 2004 VDP stopped working. While checking it out I noticed the left back up light wasn't working. I changed the bulb and noticed it was very dim. The nav disk player will not eject the disk and the CDC will not function either. The display screen has a slight green flicker and none of the console function are working. I am thinking something is grounding out the circuit. Any ideas where to start?

Hi Msnyder150,
Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us, but I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your wife's Jaguar.
As a starting point, download the 2004 X350 Electrical Guide here:
http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Elec...al%20Guide.pdf
The Electrical Guide contains all the schematics and electrical and electronic component identifications and locations.
My initial impression is that the problem with your left reverse lamp is probably not related to your other issues. On the other hand, it seems likely that all the other issues are probably related to the same root cause. Use the Electrical Guide to look for power or ground points common to all the malfunctioning components.
Let us know if you don't have any luck and we'll try to help.
In the meantime, since we're a friendly group, please visit the New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum and post an introduction so we can learn something about you and your wife's Jag and give you a proper welcome.
Cheers,
Don
