2004 xjr air suspension down
Hi, New to the forum, and need some advice. Driving the other day, in the rain, air suspension fault showed up, front end dropped. Drove the car home, did some checking, no leaks, switched out relay, nothing.
Compressor does not come on, although if you jump the pins on the relay it runs and delivers pressure to the solinoid valve, but does not distribute to any lines.
Checked as much as I can, gathering info from your previous posts, need some help.
Car has 93,000 miles on it and has been perfect up to this point. HHHeeelp

Getting "Vehicle too low" suggests the front height sensor is OK so the system is unable to maintain height at the front. I assume rear is OK. It does look as if you might have an air leak in one or both of the front air springs. Are they the original Bilstein units ?
Without knowing what codes have been stored, diagnosis is very difficult. You may not need to go to a main agent, if you can find a local shop with a reader that will read the Jaguar suspension codes.

Hi Fraser,
Sorry for the delay, The air shocks are original, I did pull lines and inflate the fronts but no air leaks that I could find, Also pulled the rear lines to let some air out as the back was quite high and hard like a rock. Still, the air compressor does not come on, but will work if I jump terminals at the R1 relay, but does not raise the car anywhere when jumped.
I am taking it to a garage on Wednesday that says they have the equipment to read and program the air suspension controller.
I will let you know what happens.
Thank you for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

I am getting a CATS fault code and can't seem to get to the bottom of it. I did hear a hissing sound at the left front, but can't say as I recall hearing the compressor kick on. When I drive it comes on intermittently, usually with acceleration. Also at times I get and RP( restricted performance) that pops up.
I pulled the leads from the battery and connected them together for 40 seconds thinking as I had read somewhere it would reset the control module, but no luck.
What did you find out?
