Default 2004 XJR P0158 o2 Circuit High Volt Bank2 Sensor2

Hi Everyone,

My 04 XJR runs great, today it decided to throw a check engine light. I tested it at autozone they said to replace the o2 sensor they said it was part number 15936 for the bosch replacement. The code they brought up also said it was P0158 o2 Circuit High Volt Bank2 Sensor2 where would this be? I have looked through the forums and have looked elsewhere online and cannot find anything. I only have 84K miles on it however 10k has been in the last 6 months. It is still running good it just has the check engine light on now so I want to fix it before there is a bigger problem.

Hi,

There are two oxygen sensors, one upstream and one downstream.

The diagram at the following shows their location on the exhaust. Items 5 and 6 are the oxygen sensors and they appear to both be connected to the cats, one at the side and one at the front of each cat.

Thanks,

Chris

The rear (downstream) and I'd say for your car (USA) on the left (driver) side.

As JagV8 says, the left side of the car (as you sit in the car) is bank 2 and the downstream sensor is the one in the side of the cat. The upstream sensor is the one at the front of the cat.

Perfect, Thank You All. Really strange but the Check engine light randomly turned off before I had a chance to order the parts.

Something is intermittent, maybe a chafed cable or loose connector.

I too have now just got this fault code so I'll be checking this O2 sensor at some point.
